REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The Valley Transit District (VTD) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified firms to provide management services necessary for the efficient operation of the public transportation system and facilities under policies, standards, and procedures established by VTD and as VTD may require. The proposer must have significant experience in transit management and shall demonstrate capacity to provide such services. Proposals are to be submitted in accordance with the requests for proposals which may be obtained from: the Valley Transit District web site at www.valleytransit.org or Valley Transit District 41 Main Street, Derby, CT 06418 (203-735-6824). Proposals will be accepted at the VTD facility until 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 22, 2010. VTD reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or parts thereof. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The Valley Transit District, a transit district organized under Connecticut General Statutes, is seeking proposals for financial audit services from certified public accountants. The audit must meet the Proposals are for an audit of the District’s FY 2010, plus options for two (2) additional audits for FY 2011 and FY 2012. Optional years will be at the District’s discretion. Quotations for the FY 2010 audit as well as for the option years should be offered as a set, not-to-exceed all-inclusive fee. In addition to the quotation of the audit fee, respondents should provide the District with a quotation of hourly fees for extra work beyond the scope of the audit itself. Fees should be provided for different classifications of employees. Prospective respondents are encouraged to contact the District to seek clarification of any questions that may arise in preparing a proposal for the required services. The deadline for the submission of proposals is 2:00 pm, July 30, 2010.
