Valley Transit District

Valley Transit is the public transportation system for the southern Naugatuck Valley, including the cities of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton (see the map below for our service area boundary). Our service is open to all within the district on a shared ride, reservation basis. Call us today for details!

Valley Transit District is a public agency that operates a fleet of 14 minibuses on a reserved ride basis. Simply call our dispatching center to schedule your ride 24 hours in advance. Because of limited funding, we operate a shared ride system, during which there may be one or more stops before we deliver you to your destination.

We operate from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except for the following holidays:

New Years Day
Good Friday before Easter
Memorial Day
Independence Day

Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Friday after Thanksgiving
Christmas Day

Our service is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities and can accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Our drivers will give you curb to curb assistance from your origin to your destination.
